Coneco is pleased to announce the recent hiring of the following employees:
Daniel DiFrancesco, Environmental Scientist, Bridgewater Office, started May 2018. Daniel received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience from Bridgewater State University in May 2018. He joins the Coneco team following a year of undergraduate research funded through the LSPA grant foundation, in which he analyzed elevated levels of Lead in urban fill soils throughout the City of Boston, Massachusetts. The purpose of this project was to confirm or disprove the Mass DEP’s current background limit of 600 mg/kg of Lead in urban fill soils.
Haley Muir, Environmental Scientist, Bridgewater Office: Haley will receive her Bachelor of Science in Earth Science with a concentration in Environmental Geoscience from Bridgewater State University in August of 2018. Haley joins the Coneco team after two years of petrographic and geochemical analyses of ultramafic rocks from the Elk Gulch quadrangle in the Ruby Mountains and several months of studying redox reactions in hydrothermal vent systems at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
Gabriel McGinn, Environmental Scientist, Bridgewater Office, started April 2018. Gabriel received his Bachelor of Science in Geology and Mathematics from Bates College in May 2018. He joins the Coneco team following a year of undergraduate research analyzing proglacial sedimentation in aim to characterize the hydrological response to climate change in a High-Arctic glaciated catchment.
Daniel Johnson, Environmental Scientist, Bridgewater Office, started March 2018. Daniel received a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and joins the Coneco team after working for Amex Inc. as an Environmental Health and Safety Technician.
Jonathan R. O’Brien, Senior Project Manager, Bridgewater Office, started January 2018. Jonathan is a geologist with twenty-four (24) years of experience in the environmental consulting industry and more than eighteen years of experience as a project manager and client manager. Jonathan received his Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Bates College and joins the Coneco team after gaining extensive experience at other firms performing and managing environmental site assessments and subsurface investigations at commercial and industrial sites with complex historical uses and oil or hazardous material release histories. Jonathan has been a Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts since 2004 and a Licensed Environmental Professional in Connecticut since 2013.
