Mr. Brochu is a geologist and environmental scientist with 18 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry and with more than ten years of experience as a project manager and client manager. He has extensive experience managing all aspects of environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects at commercial, industrial, and residential properties throughout New England. Mr. Brochu has been a Licensed Site Professional in Massachusetts since 2008 and is also a licensed Professional Geologist. He specializes in managing compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and programs for his clients.
Mr. Brochu is experienced in the design and management of environmental site characterization projects involving subsurface contaminant and hydrogeologic investigations, and has overseen numerous due diligence and regulatory investigations for properties with complex historical uses and release histories. Mr. Brochu is also experienced in the selection, design, and implementation of a variety of remedial alternatives including soil excavation and management, vapor and groundwater recovery and treatment systems, and in-situ remedial additive treatment technologies. He has managed numerous petroleum and chlorinated solvent remediation projects, including emergency spill response projects and projects involving indoor air and drinking water impacts. Mr. Brochu has extensive regulatory report preparation experience, both under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and other New England state regulations. He is well versed in conducting and preparing site-specific human health and environmental risk characterizations. Mr. Brochu has worked extensively with a wide range of clients for the resolution of environmental issues including municipalities, commercial and industrial property owners, petroleum distributors and transporters, insurance companies, homeowners, and attorneys.
