Mr. Callahan is a Senior Project Manager with over 20 years of consulting experience with major commercial and industrial clients in New England and the metropolitan New York/Tri-State area. His major responsibility at Coneco includes the management of substation expansion and facility modification projects for a major northeastern United States natural gas and electricity utility company, management and technical direction for site assessment and remediation projects, infrastructure construction, and regulatory compliance. His investigation, project planning and remediation experience includes sites contaminated with chlorinated solvents, petroleum, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and heavy metals in soil, groundwater and marine and estuarine sediment. He is also experienced in assessment and remediation of PCBs in alternative media including paint, wood and concrete.
He has served as an environmental engineer or project manager on a wide range of projects related to site assessment/pre-characterization, design, and implementation of the selected remedial alternative. He has additional experience in environmental permitting, soil reclamation, groundwater recovery, statistical waste stream analysis and heavy construction environmental compliance.
